Updates on Christian
Keeping our family and friends updated

Ok, I know that I haven't done so great with keeping the website updated. First I just got too busy and then I was having problems with the site controls. I think I can do better now that I have a blog linked to the site.

Most of our family and friends know by now that Christian is going in for open heart surgery  in just a few weeks. This time they will be replacing his pulmonary valve and hopefully the last surgery for a long long time. His aortic valve is still leaking but that is just something they tell me the cardiologist will continue to watch. He had a heart cath this month and his pressures were 30% on the left and 80% on the right and so they decided now was the time.

We had already decided that each year we will celebrate September 15th as a kind of second birthday party for Christian, since his first OHS and his back surgery both fell on that date - eight years apart. It is the Saturday before this next surgery, Sept. 19th.  So, I have to start party planning and making all the preparations for  the surgery and care when we get home.

Christian is homeschooling again this year, because of the medical, but we have been looking into special needs schools. He wants to be with his friends so much and it is hard on him. We are hoping for a quick recovery and then we can get him involved with some outside school activities to keep his social development on track.

That's about it for now but I promise  I will try to blog more often.

Christian's Parents,
I just want you to know I said a pray for your precious lamb. He is in God's hands. God will give the surgeon's wisdom and compassion for what they will do during his surgery.
God Bless!!
